Torch Bearer for a Natural Childhood
05/05/2016 History is dotted with stories of trailblazers and their struggles to convince the mainstream of something that eventually becomes popular. We are ultimately indebted to them for improving things, and wish that we’d cottoned on sooner. Badass educators are familiar with this narrative, and it is important to celebrate the successes of passionate advocates whose efforts are improving things now, and support those advocating now, as we’ll be benefiting in the future from the changes they bring about. Ahead of her time, connecting children to their natural environment in a homely setting before it was considered important, Margaretha Prendergast is a wonderful leader with an amazing story. This badass educator was a progressive and determined woman whose hard-fought achievements have been improving the care of children for over 30 years.....

New Villagers: The Ramsay Academy
We are very excited to have some new 'villagers' up the road from us this year.
Our newest friends have already been to visit us numerous times, and we have been to visit them too. What wonderful opportunities have presented from this friendship - we cannot wait to share stories!

Milford Market Day - 10th Birthday!
Milford Lodge Community Market Day will be a very special event this year, as it is our 10th Market Day! We have already begun planning, and are hoping to have a wonderful 10th Milford Market Birthday this coming October.
We were so happy to hand over $2600 to our local school chaplains who do so much to help our children and families. $1500 was donated to Buderim Mountain State School for Chappy Dave, $550 to Woombye State School for Miss Wells and $550 to Chevallum State School for their amazing youth worker. Thanks for everything you do!
Bromilow Community Care
We are very privileged to have a new friendship with Bromilow Community Care.
With a few beautiful visits already experienced we are very much looking forward to many more to come.

Our RatingMilford Lodge Child Care Centre has been awarded the Excellent rating by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority (ACECQA), the highest rating a service can achieve under the National Quality Framework.
(June 2016 & June 2019) 
Our team were extremely proud to achieve an amazing 7 out of 7 EXCEEDING National Quality Standard from our Assessment & Rating in August 2015
(September 2015).
